Cardio Questions - Running In Place For Cardio

instead of running outside or using elliptical machine, can you just run on the spot for maybe 30 minutes?

Sure, running in place is a fine cardio exercise. However, I would recommend picking up a jump rope for about $10 at your local sporting goods store and adding this amazing exercise to your routine. This will work your entire body and burn many more calories than running in place alone.
