Exercise Questions - Should I Workout My Entire Body In One Routine?

exercise questions Exercise Question:
Working out all the body parts in one weight training routine, is that good?

exercise questions Exercise Answer:
I would not recommend training all of your muscle groups in one session. You want to break them up into different workouts and really focus on working the specific muscle group during each session. A great routine is the push-pull training method. One session you will be using "pushing" movements and the other will be "pulling" movements. Here is a sample weekly training routine using the push-pull method:

Monday (Chest)
3 Sets of Flat Bench Press (8-10 reps)
3 Sets of Incline Dumbbell Press (8-10 reps)
3 Sets of Dips (until failure)

Wednesday (Back)
3 Sets of Bent Over Rows (8-10 reps)
3 Sets of Lat Pulldowns (8-10 reps)
3 Sets of Pullups (until failure)

Friday (Legs)
3 Sets of Squats (8-10 reps)
3 Sets of Leg Presses (8-10 reps)
3 Sets of Hamstring Curls (8-10 reps)
