Exercise Questions - Where Can I Find a Low Glycemic Foods List?

exercise questions Exercise Question:
I have a question about low glycemic foods. I recently took the South Beach Diet book out of my local library. They only list a few foods. I think this might help in my weight loss with the weight watchers program is I just change some of the foods I'm eating. I have already given up the light bread with my 4 egg white/low fat cheese/veggie omelet in the morning. Also trying to stay away from bread with lunch and read that potatoes have a very high glycemic count. Is there a web site that has a list of these foods?

exercise questions Exercise Answer:
In terms of the GI index, here are some great articles for learning more about the glycemic index and researching specific foods:

In order to speed weight loss, try staying away from "white" starchy foods such as white potatoes, white rice and white bread. Switch to whole grain bread, boiled red potatoes (or yams), and brown rice. In terms of bread, one of the healthiest brands out there is called "Ezekial" bread. This should be located in your frozen foods section of your local grocery store.
