Fitness Obstacles - Ways To Overcome Diet and
Exercise Roadblocks
The
Naysayers! We all have them, the naysayers - people who drive you
crazy with their negative thinking! Ugh! Their words can be one
of the things that can keep you away from being your fit self. Take
charge! Tell these folks that they must be positive and supportive
of you and your goals. They may not know how to be supportive, so
if you can tell they are trying, then give them a pass!
Food can be your friend or it can be your foe. Yes, food can be
your enemy! Your favorite meal can add unnecessary calories and
fat. After a workout, you may feel like treating yourself. A great
idea, if that treat does not negate your hard work! Sweets, fried
foods and other less than healthy options make the results of your
workout disappear. After a workout, your best bet is protein especially
if you've used the iron (weights that is).
To workout or not workout
that is the question. Tired muscles
and soreness may keep you away from your workout but if you are
skipping your workout, ask yourself why. Don't sabotage yourself!
The road to your fit self may be a bit scary. There may be times
when you feel lost and alone
just don't give up. You started
on this journey for a reason. Don't give up before you've reached
your destination! Enjoy working out. If you get bored, try something
new. A new exercise, a new outfit or a new location can be just
the jumpstart you need to get back in gear.
Leave it to the media to throw a girl (or guy for that matter)
off their game. We've all heard it, airbrushing and around the clock
workouts, chefs and the best that money can buy keeps the cover
girls looking the way they do. If we had all that at our disposal,
we may look a bit different as well! Until we do
back to the
workouts. Don't let TV; magazines or pictures on the Internet keep
you from your most fit self. Each body and body chemistry is different.
Find out what works for you and keep working at it! It may take
time and effort
sorry
had to tell you. But it will be
worth it; trust me, I'm a trainer and I'm also a client!
Infomercials and the newest in fitness gear, exercises and routines
may or may not work for you. As stated above, each body and body
chemistry is different. The diet pill, latest exercise or new fitness
DVD may work for some, but will not work for all
guaranteed.
Any product, program or procedure claiming to do so may be overly
optimistic. Do some research before trying something new. You'll
thank yourself for it later.
Finally, you should check with your doctor before starting any
workout regime or fitness routine. They'll be able to tell you what
your body can and cannot endure. Check with a nutritionist for diet
tips and need to know information if you have access to do so. If
not, check out some nutritional tips right here on ShapeFit.
See if a multivitamin is right for you. Best of luck to you!
