Weight Loss Journal Entry #1 – Josh's Journey To Reach His Goal Weight

Hey everyone! Its Josh Caudill from Austin, Indiana. I have decided to start keeping a weekly journal to track my weight loss story as I proceed with my life-changing journey. So far, I have lost 122 pounds. It has been the most drastic change of my life I have ever made. Anyway, that was a little bit of my background information. Make sure to read my entire weight loss success story and photos!

I weigh-in usually once a week, generally on Monday afternoons, due to school hours. Today is my weigh-in date and I am honestly nervous. I ate a lot of stuff that I shouldn’t and I didn’t go to the gym for a couple days. But no matter what happens at the weigh-in, I will look ahead to my goals and realize that it’s a new day and I just need to work towards the future.

This past Saturday I had my senior prom. Due to the fact that I weighed almost 500 pounds one year ago, I never danced, let alone walked into public places. So I took a close friend, who is a really good-looking girl, to the prom and I was super nervous. We walked in and it seemed that everyone bombarded me with compliments about how good I looked. I wasn’t used to all the compliments but it was awesome! Then after pictures came time to dance! I was so nervous, I had no idea what to do. I mean I knew how to slow dance but not fast dance like all the kids do. Well I sucked it up and went out there and turns out that I'm not a bad dancer at all! I danced for almost 2 hours straight! It was one of the best nights of my life, and an awesome workout!

The moral of my short story is basically along your weight loss journey, realize that confidence is the key. Do not care what people think about you. You are changing your health and physical appearance for the best. Try new things that you have never done before. You never know, you might be surprised like I was! Thanks everyone!
