Weight Training Questions - Losing Muscle Pump After Workout

weight training questions answers Weight Training Question:
I have been lifting weights for about 6 months. A typical workout routine is shoulders and biceps along with triceps for 3-4 sets for each muscle group and I do about 25 reps each set. My muscles feel super full and pumped during my workout but after 30 minutes, my muscles go back to normal. Why don't they stay full and pumped up for longer?

weight training questions answers Weight Training Answer:
What you're referring to is called the "pump". When workout and lift weights, your muscles fill up with blood and they swell up and become engorged. After you stop training (30-40 minutes later) the blood will be released from your muscles and the "pump" will reside. In terms of gaining muscle mass, you really need to always mix up your workouts with different exercises and also focus on eating the right foods to fuel your body and increase muscle tissue.
