Fat Burning Questions - Losing Weight With Half Hour Day Workouts

fitness-advice Question:
I have been exercising for 5 years and am quite fit but have put on about a stone over 2 years. I would love to lose some weight but I only have half an hour a day to exercise and although my diet is good and my workouts are hard I am not losing anything. Am I just the genetic weight I should be now? I'm by no means fat, just curvier then I used to be.

fitness-advice Answer:
I recommend three things:

#1. Focus on your diet and make sure you're eating clean, nutritious foods. Eliminate all empty calories such as soft drinks, junk food, fast food, etc. Stick with lean proteins and fibrous carbs (vegetables) as your main source of nutrients. Diet is absolutely critical when wanting to shed excess body fat.

#2. Start jogging. Jogging will strip away body fat very quickly and is excellent for toning your legs, butt and thighs.

#3. Focus on more toning movements and using higher reps (15-20 per set). Building lean muscle is the most important thing you can do to start burning additional calories everyday and really start toning up your problem areas.
