Fat Burning Questions - Losing Weight
After Pregnancy
Question: I used to be fit until I was pregnant. I was a special case,
and as a result I was told by doctors to stay off my feet as much as possible
throughout the duration of the pregnancy. After that I found myself overweight
and continuing to gain. Five years later and it's time to lose the weight! I would
love to get back to being 130lbs. So my question to you would be, what should
I eat and what kind of workout program would burn the most in the shortest amount
of time? I'm ready to do the work, so is my husband because he has gained about
80lbs too.
Answer: I recommend starting out slow and begin a walking program. Start
off with a 1/2 mile walk 3 times a week and increase the distance every week.
You may also want to begin a weight training routine 3 times a week and focus
on basic free weight movements such as bench press, squats, barbell curls and
triceps push downs. These core exercises will build quality muscle which will
burn more calories and give your body a drastic change in composition. You can
