Fitness Questions - Losing Weight After Having A Baby

I gained 60 lbs with my pregnancy due to bed rest. Not only did I gain 60 pounds, I was not allowed out of bed for 2 1/2 mos. A lot of my muscle was gone. I am within 10 pounds of returning to my pre-baby weight. My biggest trouble area is my stomach right around and below my belly button, and also some love handles on the top of my hips. What types of exercises should I try to focus on at this point to get rid the excess, and tone up those areas? I'm working hard to lose those last few pounds.

Everyone has abs, its just that there is a stubborn layer of fat above them that's the problem! Try switching to a high intensity cardio exercise which will burn more calories and keep your body's metabolism stoked throughout the day. Great examples are sprints, jumping rope and spinning. Limit these sessions to 20 minutes. I have had clients who have drastically changes their bodies once they switched to H.I.I.T (high intensity interval training).
