I am just wondering if any of you have tried and had success with the crossfit WOD for fat loss and athletic improvement (www.crossfit.com). It is pretty much the program that gym jones used for the training of the actors in 300. I wonder if you have any comments on this program, compared to the standard 45min weightlifting/45 min moderate intensity cardio (crossfit is very high intensity mostly, where you try to work against the clock to improve your time/loads, but the workouts are short, only around 15min)

There program is weight too hard. It's intense. I saw the gym jones trailer for the 300 workout and it was crazy. They theory is to work the body as a whole instead of specific parts. But I think it may work because of their drastic amount of changes. They almost never do a certain type of workout twice, because of this, the body never adapts to the work out and keeps building muscles. Honestly, it's pretty hard to keep doing a new workout every single time. But if you think you can do it, I'd say go for it.

i done the 300 workout a week ago...29mins 48secs...haredest workout i've ever done...this isn';t a typical workout though but rather a challenge they set up to see how far they'd come in the 3 - 4 months they were there

I just wanted to pudate on my previous post. I have lost 4lb since that time and my lifts have improved significantly. I am particularly pleased with my work capacity and pull ups (went up from 4 to 12). Great program, but kicks your ass every time. I will try to up the calories and see if it works for size gain and update you on that at a later time.
