Don't worry about them....it'll catch up to them and they'll be overweight and worrying about a heart attack not you.

Just keep up with what your doing and don't worry your pretty little head about those other girls.

Gotta go. My boys want to swim. ttyl.

It's not that swimming really helps me with anything... I just love to swim! I'm a bit of a fish in that aspect. lol It is a good overall conditioner tho and a good alternative to any other form of cardio. Overall I guess it's best to help keep my heart and lungs in shape more than anything else. I've never really thought of swimming as exercise...as a child swimming was a treat we got to do once in a while and I still view it as a treat.

There are special weights that people can buy to use for doing exercises in a pool but I don't bother. The best part of swimming for me is diving, absolutely love it!! Very Happy

It can help to up the heart rate and help shed a few pounds if done as part as a regular exercise routine. If you want to do it don't expect results from swimming alone but as a part of your whole routine...as a change from the ordinary to keep things interesting.

Most people stop exercising because they lose interest in it which is true for me so mix it up and don't focus on doing only one type of exercise. Monotony is a motivation killer.

I do a walk/jog program with a friend 3 times a week also. If you have a friend you can exercise with I highly recommend it.

I love swimming too, but i just stopped going for 2 years...it just didnt happen, and a week ago, we went to the pool, and i realized how much i miss it, and how much im out of shape when i went there...i used to be able to stay under water for a while, now i cant stand staying less than 10 seconds!

In my uni, there is a pool, im planning to go there once a week, and stay for 45 mins ,cause that's what's mostly suitable with school work & all.

I'm planning to mix it up...cause what im doing now is really boring me..i cant wait to go back to uni for one thing -GYM. I swear.
The only thing that excites me to go. We have 2 gyms, and thankfully each is sperated, dif days for girls, for guys, and the swimming pool.

It'sreally good and great, and i started taking advantage of it last semester, and it helped me a lot with losing fat, and all.

We even have a punshin bag, sth i desperately wanted, but it's really big, and more like for guys, but who cares, it'll be fun...we have dif things, and i never took advantage of everyting cause of my schedule, and such, buti fixed my schedule now, and i hope to god the whole thing works, cause i love the GYM in my uni..
I just hoe i love the swimming pool as much Wink.
