I'm 16 5'11" and weigh about 220 lbs. I just started going to the gym today. My diet really hasnt been good but I'm changing that due to the fact i need and want to lose weight. Ok so here is what i think my diet is going to be so far.
9:15 Breakfast- Bowl of Weight Control Oatmeal, fruit and a glass of milk.
9:45-11:00 Workout - Today i did cardio (treadmill eliptical trainer) and just a few exercises with arms and back.
11:15 After workout- 2 eggbeaters with some shredded cheddar on 1 slice toasted whole wheat and a glass of milk
1:00 Lunch- Meal REplacement Drink (Slimfast) and fruit
4:00 Snack- What should i have here???
8:00 Dinner- What mom or dad makes. haha portion controlling myself though.
I will be drinking water throughout the day. I'm going to try and stop drinking soda but if i do it will be diet.
So far i think that what i have is somewhat decent. I plan on working out 5-6 days a week. All I need help is a workout routine because I dont really have any experience on what would be best. So any recommendations are helpful. Also and any recommendation for my diet too? Thanks. |

- wts will lose more wt than cardio so get that sorted doing 3 full body workouts a week with dumbbell's and/or barbell's
- have breakfast as soon as you rise
- take cheese out of meal 2 and add another slice or two of bread
- no meal replacements...eat spolid protein and veg/salad for all remaining meals
- you should be having 5 - 7 meals a day and 7 is better than 5
- diet soda's just as bad as regular from artificials etc
- for training if you haven't done anything before than serach gogle for "your body is a barbell" and do as prescribed |

I was planning on doing weights just i set Wednesdays as my 1st cardio day. I just need help getting like what body parts i should do what day. Fridays and Sundays are the days i cant workout. So i think I am going to do Cardio on Monday and Wednesday. Weight training on the remaining days.
So for lunch a salad with grilled chicken would be ok i guess? if so i'll have to stop at the food store on the way back from the gym. |

| don't worry about working specific muscles w/ specific exercises...focus on deadlifts, squats, rows, pull ups and bench presses and you'll build muscle easily |
