For the triceps pushdown i know there is a few variations you can preform the exercise, for example you can use the bar, rope or even v-bar. I was just wondering which is the best method for the triceps.

none really try lockouts (top 3rd range of motion bench press), close grip presses, decline diamond push ups (feet elevated), lying bb extensions are way better

My personal favourites are kick backs and tricep pushdowns with an easy bar on the cable machine. For the easy bar one I like a lower weight and 4 seconds down 4 up, really exhausts you quick. But you have to watch form, if your doing it quick you might as well just load up the weight on it.

I'm with Brad, I really like tricep kickbacks!

I also really like the overhead press..

But my favorite would have to be the tricep extension using the rope!

You can hit the triceps so many different ways and different bars and handles don't really make that big of a difference so it really comes down to personal preference!

the wt you can use on most of those is no where near what you could lockout or close grip press so from an efficienecy side of things (which i'm asll about) that's why i chose them over rope pushdowns and kickbacks...i would only do them once i have pretty good mass to "shape" for a lack of better word
