Hey everyone, I just started working out about a month and a half ago. I don't really have a routine which I think is messing me up. i'm 19, and I have a membership to a gym and would like to take full potential of the gym. Can anyone show me a beginners routine that then can be changed to an advance workout later on. I want to work out my whole body proportionally more so my mid to upper than my lower. I want to know which exercises I can do on what days and continue progressing my workout. I want to print out a spreadsheet for a week and when I finish a workout cross it out for that day then continue with the next one.
Also I want to burn calories so what can I do to burn calories, I started running around my town, jump roping, and sit ups. Is there anything else I can do?
Thanks for all the help,
Rudy |

Everything you do burns calories. The weight training is a great calorie burner. Add in some cardio not just for calorie burning but for your body's cardiovascular health.
You need to make sure you're hitting all your muscle groups. Keep in mind that larger muscle groups need more work than smaller muscle groups, and that small muscle groups are already working to assist the larger muscle groups in a lot of exercises. Use some of the basic compound exercises such as squats, deadlifts, bench press, shoulder press, etc. |
