|
|
I'm in the process of losing about 30lbs. I have a weight lifting program plus some cardio and I've been told to try and mix in 2 protein shakes a day. Will this get in the way of trying to lose weight? I'd like to do both but if I had to choose I'd rather get the weight off first.
Also, any suggestions on protein? I'd like to get something easy to get, a couple of freinds said to try gnc's whey protein, if that's a good source then I'll go with that. |

Protein shake
Whey Concentrate, but Isolate is better.
Carb mix, something like Barley Extract, Palatinose, Maltodextrin.
Frankly having Protein shakes will not affect weight loss, unless you take weight gainers.
You still need adequate calories to avoid a starvation mode, otherwise you'll not only fail to shed Fat, you may gain Fat.
The best times to take Protein shakes if you do is
1. After workouts.
2. Before bed
3. Possibly as part of a Breakfast, especially as the Carb spike would help there with lowered Bloodsugar. |
