| Since my gym doesn't have a rear delt machine could I get on a machine similar to a cable crossover thing face the machine and pull the cables across each other to go from a x to having your arms level with your shoulder movement? |

Wouldn't it be easier in that case to just do something like Bent over side Raises?
Or alternatively if possible, you could sit the opposite way round on a Pec Deck. Might depend on the design of the Pec Deck though.
Or you could possibly get away with Pull Ups. Opposite movement to Pull Downs, but you use Body weight, not a Machine with unnatural weight
That will have some effect on the Traps though, and be aware it can really give you some kick in the Biceps too. Need a wider grip then you would use for Chin-ups though, but you could do it, if the Crossover Machine haad some hand grips on the top. |

| you'll be able to use more wt doing chin ups...a little more bicep use too...mechanically easier than pull ups but both are good |

chin ups are palms facing you
pull ups are palms facing away from you
pull ups use "more" lats
chin ups use "more" biceps
i would do both of them if i was you though |
