i've been an athlete all my life. i have been lifting weights consistently for about 6.5 yrs in the morning time. my normal schedule consist of waking up at 0430-0500 and then working out. recently i have been having a really hard time getting out of bed. to the point that i don't even work out at the same time that i'm used to for the last 6.5 years. i find that because of this i lag through the day and don't feel as motivated. i now workout at around lunch time wich is not too bad, but i'm missing out on the morning booster that i'm used to. what should i do?

- well you probably have some adrenal fatogue (full body fatigue baiscally) from not enough overall rest (physiocal, mental etc)...4:30 is an ordinary time to get up no doubt, i get up at 5am ish for a 6am start at work and it sucks more ass everytime i do it...maybe cut your intensity downa little ans give yourt bodya achance to catch up, vet more sleep, more rest (these are different), manahe your time better btw work, play, familty etc) and do the things at training that you enjoy so it soesn;t seem like a task...i donlt think you can get a real good wts workout that earky in the morning as the nervous sytem takes about 3hrs to actuially get going once you wake up...i'd try and stick with the lunchtime workout...for a morning booster try some bodyweight circuits for 20mins

above all i hope you're eating before these morning workouts becaue if you're not.....

Take some time off and rest would be my suggestion. Over the summer I was maintaining an intense lifting program, doing intense professional individualized speed training, and working at summer camp for kids as a counselor from 9 to 4 each day. I would constantly feel fatigued both mentally and physically even when I could grab full nights of sleep. I took a week off from my workout, just mixing in a little easy running here and there, and came back totally refreshed. So that's what worked for me and is my advice to you.
