| Lifting weights is always fun for me and its a good start...start with your body is a barbell by alwyn cosgrove or something like that then do the waterbury method by chad waterbury. |

| The waterbury method is a lifting program designed by chad waterbury. It is really good for beginners. If you like seeing results then yes it is fun. For diet go to the diet section and read the sticky "read before posting." |

| You must have an eating plan, I mean meal types, meal times, even if it's a bit unstructured and got some ropey choices in it, it's still a plan, and if you post it, we can get the gist of where to progress. |

Yes, its fun for a girl to do. I think it is anyways... Its fun to look great and feel healthy and strong. Plus its fun to constantly challenge your body to see what you can do. I think we often place restrictions and limits on ourselves regarding what we think we are capable of. Its pretty great to break those limits and go above and beyond the expected! :)
As for suggesting any "sort of fun effective exercising" that depends on your idea of fun. If you're just wanting to start getting in more cardio and being more active you could rollerblade, jog, bicycle, jump rope, kayak, hike, swim, play some kind of sport (basketball, tennis, volley ball, badmitten, softball, soccer),..ect. If you're wanting to lose fat and tone up you'll want to start implimenting a weight training program into your schedule while eating a cleaner more balanced diet. |

LOL. Debbie, you ought to know anything boys can do girls can do better! (I am sooo disturbing the peace tonight).
Here is the trick to staying motivated and it's easy: decide if you really WANT IT. Because if you have that desire, it will burn endlessly. Lots of people SAY they want to get it shape, but end up self sabotaging themselves, with ice cream here, a missed workout there, and then rationalize the choices they made.
There are only 2 things to do to lose weight and become more fit: eat well, everyday, and train, without exception, to a set plan. If it's a Waterbury plan or any other of the millions of training plans out there, then it is what it is, just follow it.
There are no short-cuts or miracles, and some days, well, training is hard and it sucks and it hurts. But in the end, overcoming your shortfalls is a huge reward and something to be very proud of.
Nothing worthwhile is easy, challenge yourself to do better.
I can guarantee you it's worth it. |

So you're saying by default anything boys can't do, girls do worse.
It's one of those for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction scenarios, or for some it's simply called Karma . |
