| I have been taking some flaxseed and fish oil pills. When I first started taking the pills they seemed normal. Now, they feel rubbery in my hands and I can squeeze them. I know I heard on the news a couple of years ago about how some fish oil pills can be giving an empty benefit if they are too old and I was wondering if there is anything to worry about these pills and I have changing its form and firmness. |

Hard to say. Might be a problem. Ones that cause "fishy burps" apparently have an issue, and might be better cold filtered.
Old ones will obviosuly start to lose nutritional quality, or perhaps you've been buying a different brand.
Maybe you could look into something like Krill Oil, as an alternative. |

You should store your fish/flax supplements in the fridge. Otherwise, they could go rancid. My brand of choice is Nordic Naturals:
