I struggle with that too. I get really busy with work and feel like I need to focus on work instead. But then I end up getting mad at myself same as you because I really need to get moving.

I feel so much better when I do workout....it seems to calm my mind. It is just getting back into a habit. They say it takes alomst 3 -4 weeks or 21 days to make a habit stick. I have worked out for greater than 10 years but in the last 2 years I have not worked out much r/t I had fallen and ended up with a neck injury. now I am trying to slowly make my way back. It is really hard.
But you really just have to ask yourself....how much do i love myself or care if I am healthy. If you do care than you really need to try and find something that works for you. Try Yoga at home or go to the gym. I have an excercise book with routines by Steve Zim it is called Hot Point Fitness and before i hurt my neck I was in awesome shape and weight. You can look him up online @ AtighterU. he is an awesome Fitness instuctor and has great diet an exercise tips. I have been using his book off and on.

Hope that helps. good luck. Just remember...ONLY YOU CAN MAKE IT HAPPEN!! Just take the first step and don't look back. Laughing

I think people question their motivation at a point when they are training too hard for their current conditioning.

If you find you are questioning your motivation, then try scheduling in an "off-week" every 6 weeks.

When you miss a week of training it is upsetting to your workout.

But when you schedule in the week of non-training, then it is part of your workout routine and you will not feel guilty.

Best of all you will come in the following week with energy and a fresh outlook on your workout. It is an "earned treat".

I schedule in an "off-week" every 4 - 6 months. I find that it is sufficient for me. If you are early in your training, then once every 6 weeks is a good cycle.

Nothing feels better than getting stronger ... "Yah I had another 5 pounds today !"

and for sure ... The comments from other peoples ... many peeps are going to the gym but how many are getting complimented ? Not that much.

I think it's best when people you don't know give you compliments. When you get compliments from trainers, it's also a pretty good motivator. I always find that I become more focused on the workout after getting a compliment, because then I know that it's working even if I don't see it.
