Hi, fat, im 185 pounds and my goal is to get at least up to 140 pounds. I was wondering if this is a good excercise routine...
5:30a.m. i jog for an hour.
go to school at 7:30, come back around 3.
I eat every 3 hours. Small meals, healthy meals.
I do 1 hour of ab workout and 1 hour of push ups.
Will this help me alot???
If i continued doing this, how long would it take about to burn my fat??? and be lean??
If not, i would love to hear your advices. Thank you =) |

Hey C,
You need to add some resistance training in your program rather than do one hour of push ups and ab work. What you are doing will not make you gain muscle, which is key to losing weight.
Have you ever done weight training before? Do you have access to a gym?
I'd replace that one hour jog with some varied cardio work. For example, you can jog, bike, jump rope, do sprints, treadmill etc. Doing the same exercises day in and day out makes your body adapt and become very efficient at that exercise, rendering it useless. Keep your body guessing, change things up.
Diet is very important, be sure that you get the bulk of your carbs from fiberous vegetables and get 1 gram of protien per pound of muscle that you carry on your body.
You did not mention gender/age.
