Yesterday i did my first olympic lift
a hang snatch...or clean...
idk where u lower the bar to your knees and heave it up and sink under it then push it all the way up...bad explainationg but i got the form down pat and i want to know more of these olympic lifts...they worked my entire body is felt like

hang snatch is in one motion...hand clean is when you lift to your shoulders than push upm in 2 motions...

o lifts are great and they do work everything as well making actaully more explosive and stronger in real life/sport...

who's teaching you? technique is more important than the wt for these

i cant seem to remember whether it was a clean or a snatch though...

yes i said i could go up in weight but they were like no we have to get form down

Exactly. Technique over weight always. Otherwise injury risk is greatly increased.

and i asked about others but they said i shouldnt ever try and learn one on my own because i could seriously injure myself without some knowledge involved

Yes you can. I'm 4 weeks into a sticky elbow from bad form on a heavy snatch.

o lifts are all about leverage and sticking points and the correct technique eliminates any weak links in the chain...these weak lionks are the injury prone one's if your not doing them right plus the ballistic (quick) action required to do them

stick with what you know although I've taught myself but i wouldn't suggest you do the same

yeah im not, when i did the snatch or clean or whatever it was it was like serious traps and shoulders and everything in that region
