When i do cardio on an elliptical or a bike i don't have any problems but when I run my ankles burn?
could it be because of my weight? |

It could be that your Achilles Tendon is too tight. My son has the same problem when he plays basketball and is now going to physio because of it. It got so bad he had to stop b-ball for 2 weeks.
Make sure you stretch to keep that tendon and the calf muscle loose. Sit on the floor and take a towel or belt and put it around the ball of your foot and GENTLY pull. You should feel a stretch through the ankle and calf muscle. Hold it for a count of 20 and repeat at least 10 times. It should help.
If left alone it can cause a torn tendon or a stress fracture. I hope this helps and Good Luck. |

| Stretching it is good. Also, your ankle joint should be relaxed when you run. When you land do so genty, not with your ankle tensed so that you land on your heel. |
