So since christmas I've upped my intensity and began eating alot more and thers been great progress. At christmas I was hovering 150-155 now its 160-165. So on average about 10 pounds max 15. I see some big progress especially through traps(max shrug has gone from 180 to 330!) what do you guys think?

yeah definately some size gains there and for a lack of better term you don't seem so "undernourished"...don't focus on shrugs too much there not great for posture and other muscles will shut down if not structually balanced...squats and deadlifts are better

Thanks. Lol less undernourished thats good, although colouring probably didnt help in the earlier pictures. But about the shrugs. Whats wrong with doing them if theyre getting me bigger and the wieght keeps going up? I blance them with other workouts obivously and how would shurgs or deadlifts get my traps bigger?

upper traps tend to be very dominant anyway ecspecially for rear, front and side delt raises and they will also inhibit the posturally important mid and lower traps...if balancing out then they may be ok but still i haven't done a shrug in years...deada are a better option clearly i think

Well its obviously helping me get bigger. Actually just measured my neck its grown a full inch since I started this heavier trap workout. As well I'm doing that face pull workout you showed me from that other thread. Again how would deadlifts workmy traps as well. And I think my postures not bad.

if doing deads correctly than you should pull the shoulders back and poke chest out at the top which is a half shrug basically...posture may be fine but muscle imbalances are probably worse which is what will happen first than postural chanegs come later as the body compenstaes for it's weaknesses

I think Farmer walk should be great for Trap and it will also build up grip.

Farmer walk is not good for knees. Do shrugs for traps and hand grips for grip.

Why did you say that? Even Worlds Strongest Men competitors do that.

Not being rude, just don't know why you said that. It's just walking with heavy stuff in your Hands.

You could argue in that instance, things like Walking Lunges arent good for you. Same kind of thing, but adding Knee bending actions in which a Farmers Walk doesn't use.

I don't believe necessarily Walking Lunges are any worse than Farmers Walk, or that Farmers Walk are bad.

Well, wanna keep the traps going eh, well consider doing Bent over Barbell Rows and Military Presses for a while and see how it goes. Besides, Changing things up and doing different exercises confuses the muscles and encourages growth

Cheers
