|
|
I have a friend who was in a bad car accident and his right arm is pretty messed up. He's as recovered as he will ever be and wants to start getting some exercise again. He asked me what kinds of things he should be doing. Obviously I told him to start with his diet, but he wants to try to lift weight again. He can't really do anything that involves lifting heavy with both arms.
I was thinking he could start off with lower body exercises, but what about upper body? Does anyone have any ideas of exercises he could do? |

| He broke his forearm in half and has completed rehab. His arm is just really weak and it hurts if he tries to lift too much weight. I was just wondering if there was something I could have him do other than lift heavy to strengthen his arm. |

he'll have a lot to address then:
- side to side imbalance in arm strength
- side to side range of motion in internal and external rotation
- side to side shoulder ht
- side to side hip ht
- he'll also have a a shit load of scar tissue in there which will require deep tissue massage to break up then stretching to increase range of motion
does it hurt to pressure on or actually hold, lift stuff? |

It hurts for him to hold a lot of weight in that arm.
Thanks for the suggestions. I'll let him know, especially about the massaging. |
