| Try boxing..I just bought a punching bag and it is GREAT!! I do combatives in the Army but never boxed before in my life. Man moving around jabbing and swinging takes it out of ya...I was really surprised!! So I hope this moves someone to go out there and box. I want to step up and learn more now its outstanding. |

| I've done boxing for over 6 years along with ultimate fighting. Yes it can be an alternative way of cardio, not the more efficient maybe, but surely does the job. |

Any good pointers?? I am just messing around with it at the house. I mean it may not be the best different cardio I was just surprised it does what it does for me. I can run a good ways at a good pace and when I hit the punching bag it takes it right out of me. 10-15 mins at a time is all I want of it for that session. I just try to find ways to alternate my excerise where my body can react differently. And this question goes out to everyone and anyone Any good pointers to pushing myself harder on the punching bag |

Yes for sure it's a good cardio and for many people a way to set out an little extra of frustration, always needed lol
But still, if you are looking for fat for example it may not be the more efficient cardio to do.
A question, do you know how to punch ? You got a good speed ? Remember to always increase your speed every "session" and ... Place you back and legs correctly. That's all I have to say
You can kick the hell out of it (Bag) too. |

| mix it up with other exercises for intervals such as 1min punching, 1 kin burpees, 1min punching, 1min tuck jumps etc for a more full body effect |

| Yeah I try to mix it up. I do different excerises during times I am breaking from punching the bag. Keeps the heart pumping. I think I know how to punch. LOL! I watch alot of boxing techinques online and watching others box on TV. I feel i have pretty good form. But if ya have links online that will help improve my form or show me different stuff by all means show me the way. And thanks for all the hits back on this ya'll are very helpful. |
