sorry about this, i posted twice because i didnt see this "post ur pics" thread b4, swanso asked me the same question so here is my answer, with a question in there somewhere lol.
i know, my mate showed me that picture and i cudnt believe how much ive changed so quick, i seriously didnt think i had made much of an improvement at all. in terms of eating, ive just started eating more pastas, ill come home after gym and have pasta tuna and apple or another night have chichen and bacon pasta, i eat alot of chicken usually anyway. In terms of gym i go about 4 times a week. i do 3sets of 7 reps. Until recently i havent been able to do much cardio due to an ingrown toenail, but ill b doing that now as maybe an extra day at the gym. Im a little worried about putting on alot of body fat, since starting 3months ago, ive put on some bodyfat, but i guess thats normal when bulking? im sure however that once i think ive got as big as i want to be, ill be just as motivated to cut off the fat and tone the body. |

Hey there! Great Job on the progress! Keep up the good work!
If you're concerned about putting on too much body fat you could alter your diet a bit to ensure that you're getting lots of healthy fats, lean meats, and whole grains and less unhealthy fats and carbs. Are you eating white pasta or whole wheat? You could switch to whole wheat (if you're not already) and make sure you're not eating too much butter and grease with it. You could also add some brown rice, oatmeal, quinoa, whole wheat couscous, whole wheat bread.... ect in place of all that pasta. You'll still want to be getting some fat in your diet and great sources would include avacado, nuts, peanut butter, olive oil, ect. For proteins, chicken is a great choice! You could also include eggs/eggwhites, tofu, lean red meat, lean cuts of pork, low fat cheese, and protein shakes (for after workouts). By eating a "clean" diet while bulking you will help your body to put on more muscle and less fat. Also... make sure you're eating every 2-3 hours and having protein with every meal. A good rule of thumb is 1-1 1/2 grams of protein per pound of body weight. |
