Hello people,

This is my first post and I am hoping for some assistance with my workout/nutrition plan. A bit of background is I'm a female, late 20's, 5'10" and 162 lbs.

I want to get down to about 150 lbs and trim fat and be strong. Currently I run about 3x/week, 5 km and weight train a couple times/week. Nutritionally I try to eat reasonable clean (somewhere between a figure competitor and general public trying to eat healthy Wink )

I admittedly have trouble with "stick-to-itness" and will go for several weeks of fairly intense exercising and clean eating. Then I get discouraged by a lack of results and head down a slippery slope to less activity and poorer eating.

I guess a lot of this issue could be psychological and I need a reality check, but perhaps that's where you can help me. I've currently been on my workout/nutrition "kick" but have gained 2 lbs! And I'm not thinking it's muscle, hehehe. Rolling Eyes

Let me know if you need any more information but I would love some help be it a better routine or a kick in the arse for expecting too much too soon!!??

Thanks in advance....

your stats make you seem in pretty good nick so you might not have a lot to lose to get where you want and i think 150 at 5'10 is unrealistic and a little silly...instead of 5km runs try intervals 1min easy than 1min hard x 10 - 20mins depending on fitness level but make sure that the hard interval is as hard as it can be with the slowerst being a quick walk or very slow pedal...try and use a different cardio mode everytime you do it...post your diet as i'm sure there's some tweaking we can do...consistency is the key and has got me to where i am as i'm by no means the cleanest eater in the world but i don't miss meals even if they are bad and i certainly don't miss training sessions...you might have gained 2pds of muscle which is very good..post wts program too
