I didn't know where or not this was the right area to post this topic under or not, sorry!

But anyways, small question.. How do you find out your body fat percentage?

Get tested. One thing your Dooctor, or often a Gym can do, is something called a Pinch test with Calipers.

This will help ascertain how much fat is stored Subcutaneously.

If you want a very accurate measure, I believe hydrostatic weighing is the best. This is where they dunk you in water. I think they see how muscle/fat floats differently. Do a google search in your area. They sometimes have travelling trucks that come by gyms to test members. I remember seeing one outside my gym a few months ago.

Smile Buy a Tanita scale. Mine wasn't cheap ($125 or so) But it tracks weight, bf %, bone composition, muscle mass, gives a physique rating, water composition, visceral vat rating and maybe something else. It's a bit over the top but I love knowing my bf% as you want to go by this and NOT the weight on the scale as we are all different builds and the BMI scale doesn't take into account these individual body composition differences in people. I'm at 24% bf and hope to go under 18% by end of summer.

The main thing BMI doesn't account for is muscle mass.

In some cases BMI readings are quite good, in other cases and depending on what levels of things like Lipids, Muscle Mass, Bone Density, Water weight, etc etc, the persons mass is comprised of, the readings can be poor.
