| Would like to know, would machine training make my shoulders become broad? Have been receiving comments that my shoulders are very broad and i look like a sportsman. I'm female. |

| Depends. Machines could make the shoulders stronger, but Broad shoulders could be Genetic anyway, so perhaps there's not much you could do, unless you're holding a bit more Fat than needs be on the Shoulder area. |

I personally like broads with broad shoulders ..... *** drum beat now barump bump bump ***
OK so it wasn't that funny LOL
But I couldn't help myself.
Truth told though I like a female that is fit and has good shoulders to her as well. |

you've probably got naturally broad shoulders although you can train to make them wider but i wouldn't the position most shoulder press machines put you in would do it
wider shoulders can also make your waist look slimmer |

Genetics makes your shoulders broad. Exercises for the deltoids can of course lead to some muscle growth in that area, which could make the appearance a bit wider. I'm not sure what your goals are, but significant muscle growth in ANY area isn't likely unless you are really pushing yourself in lifting hard and eating a surplus of calories.
Personally I don't think broad shoulders are bad, but everyone has their own opinion. As for others saying your shoulders look broad...they should keep their opinions to themselves. |

Hi. I guess you prolly have a large body frame or like what others say it must be in your genes, I personally think it's perfectly fine to have broad shoulders as long as they are toned. |

I personally quite like my shoulders..... did not think that it was broad till my friend told me.....
actually, is there any way i can reduce the size of my shoulders?
sarah, my goal now is to reduce the size of my hips..... they are quite large..... my waistline is only 25 inches, but my hips are 38 inches, a difference of more than 10 inches..... which makes it hard to buy pants.....
any advice? thank you..... |

| you won't be able to change your bone structure ecspecially for shoulders...are your hips mostly "strucutre" or do you carry the most fat on there? if it's fat then clean eating and hard exercise will do the trick but think long term |

sawnso5, how would i tell whether my hips are "structure"?
anyway, i'm in between sizes for my pants..... UK size 10 is too large, where as size 8 i'm able to zip and button, it doesn't look flattering.....
need to work towards a size 8.....
my shoulders doesn't really bother me that much..... only when i wear tight fitting tees, it looks wide from the back.... from the front it looks alright to me.....
overall, am quite happy with my physical appearance..... am able to fit into size S tops..... i used to be a size L..... and a nice shapely waist of 25 inches
for now, need to work harder on the arms and hips..... |

I have naturally broader shoulders...which I think fit my frame for the most part, but I hate that they make my hips look narrow'ish. I wish i had wide hips and narower shoulders... , aw well, such is life --- |
