|
hi i am 17 , 5ft7 and i have not got whey yet but i will in the summer when i can work out about 4 times a week i currently only train 2-3 times
here is the one i will get :
http://www.myprotein.co.uk/bulk-powders/protein-powders/impact-whey-protein/
however i am confused about ....
1st) if i take just 30 grams a day on a rest day on top of my dauily intake form solid foods, and 2 scoops of 25/30g 93 times a week) on days suffice for muscle development
2nd) once i get to the physique i want , and i stop taking whey, but continue training and eating solid protein will i lose the muscle mass?
3rd) does whey maintain build or help grow or both ? i am afriad that i will become depenedant on eth stuff and will have to keep dishing out heaps of money for it
4) how does one avoid whey protein buildind fat instaed of muscle
please help i have have been told that if i stop taking whey i will revert back to a less muscular build and i may gain fat instead ,i have researched but there is no proper answer to my ques , so i ask teh experienced people here |

| If you ate the amount of protein in the powder that you would usually drink I would suppose so. |

1 - as long as you are having 1 gram of protein per pound of bodyweight at least, yes it's enough
2 - you won;t lose but you may fond it harder to increase as you need fast absorbing protein straight after training to rebuild your muscles back up
3 - you don;t need an expensive one...just get the bioggest tub for the cheapest price...they're all the same anyway
4 - train and eat clean and you won't get fat |

i weigh 11.2 stones i thinks that is like 160lbs+ , if i dont have more than 1 gram of whet per pound will i not gain?
i have skinless chicken almost everyday & i have plenty lentils/nuts everday as it is, will 30g a day , & 60g on days i work not be enough?
and anyway once i get to the build i want i will stop taking whey and just try to maintain |

11.2 Stone is about 156lb's, and cutting Whey when you reach a desired weight, would do probably one of two things.
1. If you were eating enough daily protein, to sustain a mass level 5-10 lbs approx, above ideal bulk weight, cutting Whey could possibly allow you to maintain, if remaining Protein levels per day where adequate enough.
2. You eat just about enough Protein daily to achieve desired mass levels, in which case cutting Protein would almost certainly achieve Atrophy, and partial loss of gains.
One possible way around either scenario, might be to keep using the Whey at that point, and trim set numbers on each exercise down by 1 set, so if you did 3 sets on an exercise, do 2 at that juncture.
This in theory would stifle further growth potential, by not cutting weight levels or changing rep numbers, and as a result keeping intensity of sets / reps as per before, but with a slight cut in Set numbers, theoretically reducing training volume. However owing to the continued consumption of Whey, block Atrophy of the muscles.
If that makes sense. |
