| Since I've been going to Velocity they make you do alot of exercises keep your lower back straight...either against the bench/floor/etc and i simple cannot do this no matter what I try its like i cant flatten out my back against a surface. especially when it comes to abs like when you lay on the floor you have to push your back against the ground..but i realised i've wasted SO much time doing those because I cant get my back on the floor no matter how hard i try. any suggestions? |

| You may need to be tested for muscular imbalance/dysfunction in the hips. If you can't flatten your back, you may not be able to recruit your glutes/lower abs properly, which may be a product of tight hip flexors/spinal erectors. |

shit missed this one...agree with ando
basically you have this:
tight hip flexors / quads - weak glutes / hams - tight low back - weak core
that is in a nutshell
when one muscle is tight is also dominant so the opposite muscle will shut down as the "pull" from the opposite muscle is to great for it to overcome so it doesn't get used when it should
simply lay down and flatten with knees bent at 90 degrees with feet in the air and try and hold it...search deadbug series by mike robertson for pictures |
