you can never out train a bad diet...

chicks will lose fat and gain muscle at the same rate initially so even if scale hasn't moved, hopefully you see changes in the mirror...if you don't then then we need a re vamp

Ahh the dreaded weight plateau! As a professional dieter over the years I feel qualified (unfortunately) to comment on this on. From the sound of it you are doing everything right . . reducing your caloric intake and exercising. The first thing you need to do if you haven’t already is get out the measuring tape. I just went through a plateau myself but fortunately “this time” I took beginning measurements and have updated them each week. While I did not lose anything on the scale I did lose ˝ inch on my waist . . .so it is clear that muscle is replacing the fat! And that is what we are all after. Another issue with plateaus is that your body is trying to regulate itself to your “new” habits and is becoming better at conserving energy. Often times to break out you need to (and I am serious here) increase your calories a bit, not a lot just enough to kick it out of the “feast or famine” phase that it is in. Just as important you need to change up your exercises. You need to “shake” your body out of its conservation phase. Our bodies are great at recognizing new conditions then adapting to them – great for survival – bad for dieting. Hope that helps and good luck – keep the faith!

What does your current diet and workout plan look like? I bet if you made some changes to those you could get off that plateau in no time. Post an example of a typical day for diet and show us your workout routine so suggestions can be made there. :)
