Ok so it's 6 am and I haven't gone to sleep yet(just got back from a walk) and I'm wondering just how much do/can you grow while sleeping exactly?
Reason I'm asking is I've been on a pretty lousy sleep routine this past month, staying up all night and going to bed at 6:30-7ish am to 4 p.m, but now I've started waking up at 11ish past few nights, hoping to get tired so I can get back to a regular sleep schedule. (I'm 15/5'2 so I obviously want to grow a lot )
Thanks, I'm going to bed now! |

No idea. I think if I recall correctly, sleeping on the spine induces about 3cm more length because the spine relaxes, but that is just oncurrent with a long lie down, but obviously the body does grow during the night when you're your age.
Growth Hormone release is about 2hrs a night, which I think is 2hrs straight, not time released GH at regular intervals for example, I believe it happens during the deep sleep phase I think right after the REM, (Rapid Eye Movement), phase.
I'm not entirely sure how much you do grow though, as some people are biologically able to grow much taller than others, so certain factors, at night, the amount of GH release over 2 hours approx, possibly being the main reason would come into play, but not being some kind of sleep expert, or someone with a higher understanding, I can't be precise about things.
It's mainly to a large extent down to your genetics, and things like GH release in the Pituitary gland, and Testosterone levels, Diet, fluids intake, and also some Physical conditions or injuries, can have a major bearing on growth potential in under 18's. |

Alright thanks guy's!
I have one more question, about stretch marks. How do you get them and how can you get rid of them? I use to think that guy's couldn't even get them... |

Stretch Marks are caused by tears in the collagen.
You can mask them with products like Bio Oil or try increasing intake of things like Vitamin E, or use things like Cocoa Butter perhaps. Coconut Oil products, may also be something ot look into. Vitamin C also exerts effects on Collagen in Skin, Bones and Teeth, and it is a major player in such things.
If you wanted to, you could try experimenting with Vit C supplementing, not least for immune function benefits. I'd go for 500g in the morning, and 500g at night to see how you get on. I know occasionally some people have a slight issue with Vit C, and might benefit better from the buffered kind, but those doses might be something for you to consider, and if after 1-2 weeks you feel okay with it, perhaps consider increasing to 1g morning and night.

| Alright right thanks Bossman! I have Vitamin C(500mg) dietary supplement pills at home, so I've started taking one a day and will probably increase to 2. |
