Hello,

I've only just started working out about 4 weeks ago and I've noticed my belly has actually popped out a bit does this happen before flattening?

not sure why would have happened...it would either be a postrural problem (pelvis tilt) or weak core...probably a weak core more so where the muscles aren't activated and when they are they holds all the stomach in..try vacuums amd prone ab braces

yeah do you think it might have something to do with my diet as well. I weigh 49kg which is why I started exercising. When I was 17 I was over weight and since then I have lost 25kg so I have a bit of loose skin and thought toning up would help reduce it. Do you suggest any foods I should be eating more.

losing that amount of qweight can be hassle dowen the line with excess skin...that's why it's a good idea to lose wt slowly but consistently...post your current food plan and we'll have a look at it
