| Hey, I got the chicken pox in 2003 and I have several scars around my body... some seem like little brown lumps sticking out of the skin, it's not very attractive, I think, lol. What can I do about them? |

Scar tissue is very difficult to rectify. Some things like Cocoa Butter, and Vitamin E, can help, scarring and Stretch Marks, or you can buy things speicifically for targeting such a problem.
I think there is one called something like Mahadeva, that works for that, and another one called Bio Oil, which is meant for Scars, Stretch Marks etc etc.
So you have options there, which hopefully you might find useful .
P.S. if you need more Vit E, then try slightly increasing things like Cereals, and Green Veggies, in your diet. You won't need a lot of Vit E, but a bit more might help, if you don't consume a lot already. Your RDA is only 15mg, so in all likelihood you'll be fine. |

| Oh ok, cool. I'll try to find some or one of those products. So do I just rub it into my scars? |

| I think so yes, to my knowledge they are just semi-liquids that work transdermally, e.g. they absorb through the dermal skin layer. |

How do you mean exactly, as Vitamin E usually comes in tablet form like Multivits do.
Are you talking about a specialised Vitamin E Cream, or just any skin Cream containing Vitamin E? |

| Vitamin E also comes in a softgel caplet. You just prick the end of the caplet and squeeze out the contents and rub it in. But it is very sticky because it is so concentrated. |

If you live in Britain, you might be able to go to places like Boots, Superdrug, Holland and Barrett.
If not you'll probably have to look on the internet, as I can't tell you about Oceanic or American outlets, I don't live there. |

| depending on the scar, a good preventative thing is massaging the scarred area. for smaller injuries that may scar, massaging the area several times a day in a circular motion can prevent scar tissue from forming. i did this on an injury per a plastic surgeons recommendation and it worked, no scar. |

| Scars are areas of fibrous tissue that replace normal skin (or other tissue) after injury. A scar results from the biologic process of wound repair in the skin and other tissues of the body. Thus, scarring is a natural part of the healing process |

| Yes indeed. The scars are mostly formed by a type of White Blood Cell called Platelets, and a Protein called Fibrin. |
