| First time user..I'm 37 years old.I'm 5'8.5..weigh 158.I started working out in Jan. Tired of the flab. I used to drink a couple beers everynight. I only have some on the weekends now.I've been watching what I eat. Not counting but eating higher proteins and not so much carbs. I started out weighing 163-166. I've been working out 4-5 times a week, cardio 20-30 min., weight training, been doing the Turbo Jam videos, 20 min cardio, 20 min abs, 40 min weights,..My problem is I wear a size 10-12..my hips are 39.5", my waist "tightened" is 37....but when I relax my stomach without holding it in my waist or lower abdomen...right below my belly button is 41..It seems like all my ab workouts and diet is doing NOTHING for my stomach. I can't relax my stomach without looking 6 months pregnant. When I tighten my abs they are tight is just the loose skin and fat that just won't go away. I'd like to lose down to 140-145. I just can't seem to be losing any weight. HELP...I'm tired of holding in my stomach all the time and I don't want it anymore. I know I'll never have a six pack but I just want to be able to relax my stomach and it not be so big and fat. |

Hi there,
keep in mind that some of the tummy sticking out may be bloating caused by certain foods you eat. That happens to a lot of people.
It may be that what you are doing for exercise and diet just are not quite right for your body. Some small changes based on your needs may make a difference. Could be that you are eating too much, not enough, too many processed foods, not a good balance, etc.

That happens a lot to me, the bloating part, its really annoying. Anything I eat could cause my bloating, sometimes even eating fruits, and veggies. I dont know ...is there any way to control it at all? A way that i can still eat food, and not get so bloated.
Does having mucles in ur abs minimize the bloating? I sort of think it does, cause since I started working for my abs harder, the bloating became less, and less, but not too less, just not as BAD as before.
Any idea? |
