There is a website that sells a product called the Fast Abs program, which claims to give you a six-pack using a scientifically thought through exercise which you can only do for 4 mins, you can physically only do for 4 mins. There are some other stuff though (like some form of cardio exercise that they say they have created that is really good), and the website is http://www.mindnmuscle.com/abs/how-to-build-a-six-pack-abs-.htm

The primary website itself seems to be alright http://www.mindnmuscle.com.

Can someone check this out? If someone has tried it, can they please tell me if it works?

I read something very similar to that if not exact, I did not read the book or anything, but I tried the excersize. I have to admit I'm not doing it 100% right, like with timing and all, but YOU do feel the BURN in your abs while you're doing like YOU haven't before, I assure you that. I don't know, i think it's not working for me because;

1) i dont know the whole "real" plan, just the excersize.
2) I'm not doing it enough.
3) and I have high fat percentage, end of it's healthiness, but not fat.
I got all the fat covering my stomache, and abs, although, I do see them more than before now. The shape and all, just no packs, except my 1st packs which i had since summer, how lame, huh?!

That's my insight about it, but the excersize itself, is good.

it probably consisits of crunches and that coupled with a lot of rowing will give tight abs as well as your already limited thoracic extension causing postural and eventually respiratory problems...has anything meaningful eber been done in 4mins???? just a gimmick i'm thinking and here's something i found in a quick search:

Behind The Hype: FastMuscles
The FastMuscles training program claims it can help anyone build big muscles quickly. But Street Cents finds it’s not so fast, not so special and not for teens.

Street Cents got an email from 18 year-old Steve. He asked us to check out a website called FastMuscles. It’s not too hard to figure out why Steve was instantly interested.

Glowing Testimonials

The site claims that “anybody” can use the FastMuscles system.

The website is filled with testimonials from people who’ve tried the program. It says stuff like…“I now have a 45 inch chest up from 43.”

“I gained 10 pounds of solid muscle mass in just 3 weeks.”

Street Cents Buys the Program

We ordered it directly off the website from Rob Maraby, creator of the FastMuscles program. It cost us $70 US which works out to around $100 Canadian. But Maraby lives in Ontario, so what’s up with charging in US dollars?

Our $100 got us 120 photocopied pages of bad grammar and spelling mistakes…but that’s not the issue.

The Claims

Weight Gain
On his site’s front page Maraby tells people he gained 30 lbs of muscle in 12 weeks, hence the name FastMuscles. But, when you get the book you find out Maraby’s four training phases take 601 days to complete. That’s a year and a half commitment. Not exactly fast.

Street Cents phoned Maraby and asked him about his 30 pound weight gain. He admitted to us that his weight gain was high because of his extensive weight training background.

Maraby also said regular people should expect a muscle gain of 5 to 10 pounds in 12 weeks. But when Street Cents talked to an experienced bodybuilding expert, he told us it’s a more reasonable result to gain 8 pounds of muscle in a year.

Secret
The FastMuscles plan claims to be a unique and special secret. But is it?

The secret, it turns out, is to use heavy weights to overload your muscles, don’t do many sets and take long breaks in between workouts. But the experts we talked to say there’s nothing new here.

Power-lifting bodybuilders and Olympic weightlifters have been using muscle-overloading techniques for years.

It’s For Anyone
The FastMuscles book comes with a letter. It says, “the old, young, obese, or skinny,” can do the program. But buried on page 25 of the website, it says the FastMuscles program is an intermediate to advanced bodybuilding course.

When you look inside the book it says the system isn’t for you if you’re obese. It also says the elderly shouldn’t use it. So which is it?

When Street Cents spoke with Maraby, he admitted you must have some level of fitness before you start the program. You also have to know proper weightlifting form. So it’s really not for the “anybody” Maraby’s pitching to on the front page.

What the Doctors Say

Street Cents asked three doctors about the FastMuscles program. They all say you can’t build muscles overnight unless you’re taking steroids. But steroids are just plain stupid.

They also say not everyone has a body type that can bulk up. Wait a minute… we thought “anyone” could do Fastmuscles and get results.

All three doctors say that weight programs like FastMuscles can work for experienced lifters and bodybuilders. But beginners and teens under 18 should stay away. Lifting heavy weights can damage your growth plates. That’s the end of your still-growing bone.

So it’s better to work on getting fit, not mega buff. This doesn’t mean you have to stay out of the weight room if you’re under 18. Just make sure you get a trainer or gym teacher to show you the proper form and keep the weights light.

The FastMuscles training program doesn’t live up to its web page hype. It clearly isn’t for just anyone. It isn’t fast and it isn’t special.

This type of program can work for experienced lifters. But they aren’t the ones looking at a site like this for answers, or shelling out big bucks for the book.
