Hello!
I am new to this forum and i am ready to be fully commited to an exercise routine, but I do not know where to start, let me say I have not been to the gym for over 3 years, however I am a very active mother of two small children under 3 years old. I am happy with my weight, I just want to address some areas , tighten and tone, here are my stats
5 ft 2 1/2"
122 lbs
I have a little lower pouchy belly and have some cellulite on the backs of my thighs. I would love to hear feedback from you all.
thanks |

Well this the sort of thing most gyms would probably do for you.
Total vody workout.
2 exercises per muscle group.
Workout done 3 times a week, with a non-weights day inbetween each workout.
Workout done for 4-6 weeks to adjust.
Non weights day, can then be used for basic Cardio, so the Heart and Lungs can adjust too, with one day in the week where you do nothing.
You would need to do this, as you'll be very deconditioned.
Congrats on the little ones too. I'm sure they are in fantastic hands with you, juding by how you obviously love and care for yourself too.
Take care, and anything else you need, don't hesitate to come back again . |

Thanks for the input, I am really excited to get back into it, I just want to start off right and not try to do everything at once, I know without a routine I will not get results. Can you please break down for me how many sets I should be doing per muscle group and should I do cadio before of after I do these?
Thanks again! |

Sorry that should have said 1 exercise per muscle group, 2 sets, not 2 exercise per muscle group. My mistake .
Cardio was explained before.
"Non weights day, can then be used for basic Cardio, so the Heart and Lungs can adjust too, with one day in the week where you do nothing. "
That means when you do a Weights session, Cardio happens the next day, so you never do a Weights or Cardio session back to back, and limit yourself to 6 days moderate exercise, in the intial 4-6 weeks. |
