Hello,
I am a man seaking help with getting a woman in shape. I myself am very healthy and very fit. I dont know how to prod my partner into being the same way without sounding like a jerk or agervating her. She has fallen into a little bit of a funk it seems, with work, etc. were she just doesnt want to make time to be healthy. She will do the occasional video that she buys, once in a great while, but thats about it. and she loves sugar stuff. I try to tell her that sugar is the enemy, but again, i dont know how to do it without aggrevating her. I work very hard myself but i find time to get to the gym and eat right, and i know there are people at her work whom do the same job and they are able to do so. What do i do? any help would be great. She is very tiny, and is slim, but her idea of going on a diet is not eating. It makes her smaller, but with a much worse attitude becasue she is staving herself, and no muscle tone at all. I would wrather have her bigger but with some kind of muscle tone, than tiny with none and looseness. I hope this doesnt sound horrible, i just want her healthy!! Someone please help!! |

Hi,
are you sure she doesn't have some sort of emotional issue with not eating? It is a red flag to me that she is so small and doesn't eat at times. Does she know how you feel already? What about buying her sessions or a program with a person trainer?

| maybe prepare some of her meals for her so she has to east what you make her...find activity that she enjoys and do it with her..she doesn't have to do what you like as she might not like it and therefore won't do it but choosing things she likes she will have a better chance of continuing |

How do you broach the situation with her?
Do you discuss it at all and if so how does she repsond? |

My suggestion is to focus on health not appearance as i'm sure you want her to be healthy more than you want her to "look" a certain way!
I think the best way to help her would be to invite her and give her lots of encouragment and make it fun, i.e. doing some weight training together, going for walks or hikes together etc.
I think keeping it fun and remembering NOT to comment negatively about her eating sugar, not being muscular enough is very important...
That's my take anyhow |
