is it bad to do cardio, if you're tired? As you may know, I'm really just exhausted lately, and have no energy whatsoever for anything, but i dont want to fall victim for my tiredness, and fatigue, and stop working out. I did do cardio today. Biking 10 mins, but it was hard to peddale cause i had bad tires so i stopped, then i went for the ellpitcal machine for 15 minutes.
But I felt like I was dying, and had no energy...it's just not like me. What is it that would cause this? It's just weird...im not sick of working out, hell no im not, im just really tired these days!
Afterwards i did couch crunches, 20 reps...no sets, had no enrgy for more.
How can i pump my energy again? Dont even mention carbs, sugars, they do not work, trust me..not with me at least.
So any suggestions for fixing this issue? |

Take time out. give the Carido some time off, stick to weights, and get bakc ot Cardio in a weeks time.
You're not going to get any physical issues with your body doing this okay, but you may have just overworked your Cardiovscular systems a bit much, and they need some rest and recovery.
If your weights aren't going downhill, then stick with them, and get Cardio back on track in a week. |

I'm afraid if I stop cadio, i will really DO stop cardio. I don't mind taking 2 days off instead of 1, that dosnt affct me, but if i stay longer without it, i may stop...so i guess ill just go back to cardio with low intensity, and i read that cardio with low intensity causes more fat loss, is it true? and what is exacltly low intensity? For me, it's like to just walk on different speeds...so is it like that?
And if ill just do weight, shall i do them for 3 days still? |

low int cardio - not true
incorporate cardio into your wts so instead of doing shitty running do 2 - 3 circuits of bodyweight circuits and see how that works for you which will build muscle and get heart rate up if done properly |

| I think he's saying incorporate your cardio into your weight lifting instead of doing a lot of cardio workouts. |

my cardio is so so so little lately. Before it was decent, and good, but I actually fell back. For the past 3 weeks, its like doing cardio for 20 mins tires me, and thats on cardio day only. So im sort of deciding to do cardio 5 times a week.
Like 30 minutes on cardio, and on the days of lifting, 2 out of 3, ill do 20 minutes afterwards.
I want to lose fat already! And i cant think of anything else. I don't have time to do one hour cardio 3 times a week, so I thought I should divide it...what do you say?
I lift 3 times a week. 40 minutes each, or about.
And the thing is lately, I rally have no energy and always always always tired...sometime even when im working out I YWAN. I'm very very very serious. I don't know what IS the problem. Honest.
After I workout, instead of feeling pumped with energy, when I go to my class (well it is a boring class ), i end up want to fall asleep...and have hard time walking fast, or regular speed, I walk so slow. Like a turtle. that is not LIKE ME. I don't know =S! |

| If you're female make sure you're not pregnant. Extreme tiredness is one of the first signs of pregnancy. If you're male then I have no idea. |

| Perhaps you are overtraining and although you said not to mention it......diet does play an important part with respect to energy levell Are you getting adequate sleep? |

sleep plays an important role. you should try to have at least 8 hour of sleep.
Also keep your working sessions to 1 hour and try not to do heavy work after coming from gym.
also if you are not feeling to do cardio then do not do it all. give your body rest and hit back gym next day with higher intensity
something like this could be helpful for cardio :
1st do 800 Meter sprints followed by some explosive exercise for high reps like swings, single arm dumbbell snatch or some b/w exercise like push ups, pull ups , air squats or maybe burpees. repeat this cycle for 3 sets and try to do this in least time possible.
Note: this can be very Taxing so choose your exercise accordingly and do not overdo. |

i honestly gave up on sprtings, cause
1), the treadmill we have, is manual, u have to keep clicking on the speed. Not very effective, and tiring.
2), there isn't that much space where i can do that, due to personal reasons.
sleep...hm, well, i wold say i get enbough sleep, comparing to 3-4 monhs ago, when i used to barely be able to close my eyes.
I get about 6-7 hours, mainly, sometimes a lil less, or a lil more, but most of the it's disturbed, as in i dont sleep 7 hours straight or something.
My food is crap. I'm gonna be totally honest, thom, im not gaining weight at all, n fact ive lost, and ...well im sorta confused about one thing in my body, im not sure if i lost fat in my hips or gained again, part of me feel like it gained, paet of me sees it as lost =S! It's weird i cant tell, but measurements are the same, even better but i see those big bumps, and im not sure if there were already there after io lost my HUGE hips, or im stlll losing..im not making sense...damn...but as an overall;
its been hectic lately, i have finals next week, and..well finals are finals, ill try to do ligh workouts 4 days at least....just cardio, no lifting, caue i wont have energy, then ll go back and strong, hopefully. |

Hi, I'm new to the forum (I signed up just for you Rage) . I had the same problem for a while. You need to stop everything and see your Doctor. Turns out I was borderline anemic and a little iron did me wonders. My Dr. also said to be sure to drink lots of water during the day and not to over due the carbs. He put me on a low carb diet (not crazy low carb, just enough to keep me from "crashing"). You should really see your Doctor before you do anything else so you can rule out any health condition. Most health conditions are easily fixed then it is onward and forward. |

Aw, thank you! I'm much better now though. Sometimes I think it's just exhuastion, and my emotional health that is causing me to be like that, not the actual health... im taking a week off working out, more likle about 2, eh...it just there is to much stress theses days, and i have no time to work out, but im hoping to throw a 20 mins here for cardio, even if not intense....
Thank you again, I'll consider it. |
