Lately, I don't have a "real" appetite. I really don't. In the morning, I had cereal, and couple of bites of brown bread.
Later on, when I was eating a turkey which was in brown bread, i barely ate half of it. The size was the size of my palm only. And finished the sand in a later meal...
I don't know. I'm not really hungry, and I'm sure as hell I'm not getting enough cals....
So what do I do? The silly me, try to eat sth with a taste in it..you know...since ive been soooo tired, and have no energy, i wanted to see if "eating sugar" is going to make any difference, and gues what..
SUGAR HAS NO EFFECT ON ME WHATSOEVER.
Every girl I meet sees sugar a heaven. For me, I see food as food, as it tastes, not as what it is. Like if i eat ice cream, i dontthink about SUGAR. Or when I eat chocolate. I just have it, like that.
It makes a lot of people happy, it doesn't make me feel a DAMN thing. Never did.
I could eat as much as icecream. and it won't have any effect on me.
It\s just weird. Although, when I "sway" a bit with my food, when i don't have an appetite, to open my appetite, it works a little, for a little while, but then im back to square one...
I have this issue since forever.
weeks of hunger, and need of junk food.
And weeks of no appetite, and no need for junk food or any type of food for that matter.
=S!
I'm just really still stressed out lately. Yesterday, I left universoity at 7:45 pn. The ride home is one hour exactly, and a bit more actually, I didntreally wanna eat, but about 3 hours and half have passed, and all i had in front of me was junk food, and less options of healthy food. I just had a ceasar salad...=S...and didnt even finish it. I attack ceasar salads, and eat it to the last small tiny lettuce piece, but i couldnt finish it yest..
what's up with me?
Well, i dont know i think..it has to do with my period, cause I still havent gotten mine! It's always whether couple of days early or late no big deal, but it's a bit too late this time, like 4-5 days, and no im not pregnant..believe me. I'm just 17 for god's sake, and do NOT have sex.
So it's not the issue. I guess its stress that making me lose my appetite, and have a late period probably, and no energy for anything whatsoever, right? or... |

i'm no doctor but missed periods without sex isn't right and is probably stress related...when yuo have periods you're body is under stress but if yuo're already under too much stress, the body may not "period" as it it goes into survival mode and can only deal with so much stress at one time...this is why a lot of people get sick when they have a big night out...they may a touch of flu that doesn't even resgister to you but when you drink, the organ's in the body are stressed so then the flu has the chance to take over as the body is catering to something else
does this make sense???
either way go to your uni counsellor and see if they know someone you can see about your problems |

The funny thing is at 17 I got married! But seriously, You need to see your doctor and get your thyroid checked. A slow thyroid can cause low metabolism, little appetite, tiredness and weight gain among other things. Have your doc give you a check up including a thyroid test. If that's what it is then you'll have to take a thyroid hormone replacement pill a couple of times a day and you should see an improvement. who knows after a while you may not even need them anymore.
Happened to my sis, could happen to you too. Undractive thyroid is one of the most common reasons for missed periods, tiredness, weight gain and cravings. |

I dont really think I need to check it up, it's not that its WAY too late, like a week or so, just few days, wait that's a lie, pretty much 6 days, but I get the feeling im getting is soon anyway...like in a day or two, i dont know, just feeling. It's weird cause it's never that much late, mine is VERY regular, and organized..so it's pretty awakward, i will see if doesnt come in couple of days, then ill see if i should check it out or not.
And i was wondering, how do most of you, women, deal with period and excersize? The first two days are horrible from the pain, but sometimes I go agasint my body needs, and just do it. Am i that horrible? Or should I rest, or do light cardio, no weight lifting?
Just curious, always wondered..what's best..? |

Your thyroid is a butterfly shaped gland in your neck that controls alot of other body functions. To get it checked requires a simple blood test, It's not invasive.
As for dealing with feeling bad during that time of the month, just take it easy and listen to your body. You're not going to do yourself any favours by fighting what your body needs. When I feel that horrible I go for a walk followed by a long soak in the tub. It really helps to relax. Go easy on yourself for a while and you won't feel so stressed.
Hope you feel better soon! |

I got it so it's no big deal, it's just weird it's 6 days late. I dont know, does any if yo women) feel that your fat, even if youre not when you have your period? ...and what kind of things happen when we have our period, i mean i know..but does out metabolism becoms higher or slower? Do we lose mre cals, or is it the same...? I noticed i always screw up with food b4 my period, and during...i dont know...=S!. its more of a bad habit to be honest.
My mind is always set to when you haveyour period, attack ice cream. |

Having your period increases your metabolism for a week or two which is probably why you feel like you want to eat everything in sight.
I don't think there's a single woman out there who doesn't feel fat during that time. We all experience it at one point or another.
And when you're late you actually do bloat for a while and get bigger, but that too goes away.
I suggest for those days just wear looser clothing until you're comfortable wearing your normal clothes again. |
