Have you consulted a Physiotherapist at all?

You've ruptured a disc, and then you're wanting to do something, that may almost certainly manipulate the affected area.

For what you want to do, I would say it's worthwhile, but in your current state I'd seek medical advice, incase you worsen the affected area.

Thanks, ive had the disc prob for 10 years..I have a good idea of what my body can handle .. I do (modified) Kung Fu...no jump kicks very little impact.... mostly redirecting and deflecting with pressure point attacks, NO kicking bags.. (15 years) , Teach Tai Chi Chuan etc..... I am a bit nervous as I do not know the muscles bellydancing uses as it is new to me, . I wondered if anyone on the boards here have experienced it.(with a problem similar to mine) . I am going to try it out , a little anyway and see what I think. I will keep you posted.

I really like this site.

Good luck, but if you feel the slightest bit of pain, STOP. Don't try to work through it, or attempt to differ your muscle movements, stop doing it, or you might cause a problem.
