|
|
I have been working out for about 6 months now and am achieving some pretty good results but I also tend to be getting sick more often. I have gotten a nasty cold twice in the last 2 months...
I did some reading and someone suggested it could be due to a lack of glutamine?? Any thoughts or suggestions? |

| Take Glutamine 1Tspn after workouts, and before bed. Should work out for you. |

| Glutamine does improve the immune system. Good idea to try it. If there is a GNC where you are they can hook you up with some. |

The only type I've ever known of and use, is Pharmaceutical grade. There might another kind which is very cheap, and has no pharmaceutical word on it, but I'm not aware.
Glutamine is just the same whoever makes it. |

I was wondering that as well swanso. I work out 5 days a week, usually 3 days on, one day off, 2 on, 1 off, 3 on....etc...
I usually get about 7 hours a night, and try to take in right now about 2500-3000 calories (for my needs).
Is there any other supplements I should be taking that my body is using up? |

I train usually 5 days a week (each session takes about 1 hour, sometimes 45 minutes depending on what I am working out). I did notice one thing though last night. I am taking the ON Whey protein shake after I workout. I was alternating between that powder and the myoplex premade shakes (depending on my mood).
One thing I did realize though is that the ON (Optimum nutrition) has just over 4grams of Glutamine in it and the myoplex has none. I will probably just stick with the ON powder for now so I can get my glutamine, plus take it twice a day, not just once. |
