I have recently taken up spinning and after about 5 classes I have developed a "bubble butt." why did this occur? I thought it was cardio and suppose to help me slim down. how can i change that and make my butt smaller? thanks.

Possibly increase calories a bit, you might be causing a negative Metabolic response, not getting enough nutrition pre-workout.

Try adding something small like another 10g Carbs, to your meal say 1-2 hours before a workout, or when you have that meal, and see if that makes any difference.

i usually have a yogurt prior to it (60 calories). I don't want to eat a lot and get nauseous. do you think eating 1200 calories a day is too little? I'm looking to lose weight and tone up.

I would increase that to about 1,600. With your activity levels, I think you're no eating enough. Chances are you might need to go higher, but due to your Metabolism getting used to 1,200, going higher than 1,600 for now, may cause significant excess, and convert the excess to Fat.

At least 400 more a day, over 6 meals equates to just over 65 more calories.

another reason why cardio isn't as advertised...

the body will do the cardio easier over time using les cal's to do the ame amount of work because of the reptitive nature of it...this is how people run marathons because their bodies are very energy efficient

for fat burning this is the total opposite of what you want

do wts instead
