| I was thinking about taking Protein whey. First time using any supplements. I was wondering what's the best liquid to go with protein whey the 25g a scoop one. Also, I read on the back for gaining adding peanut butter..Is this good or not? and by adding does it mean putting some in with the drink? |

| water or milk for powder...don't add fats to shake after workouts as you don't want fats to slow absorbtion of czrbs abd protein at this time...the odd scoop for healthy fats with some emals is good though if it's natural peanut butterbut obviously in moderation |

No Fats in a shake. Not worth it in my opnion.
As for Liquid of Choice. Use water. Makes the shakes less thicker, and shouldn't increase absorption timeframe. Plus Milk contains Lactose, so coupled with the Protein Powder Sugar, (probably Maltodextrin), you might get too high a Bloodsugar spike after workouts.
It's beneficial to have a Spike, but not to the point where the Glycemic Load, is too high.
Water has no calories, and certainly no Carbs, so it's better for you I think, to mix shakes with water not Milk. |
