This MAY be a ridiculous question, but its been bugging me, so I may as well get it out -----are calories EXACT? I mean, if I eat a banana, which totals 90 cals for example...does my body take in all of those 90 cals? --What about the pieces that might get stuck in my teeth etc?
Sorry, I HAD to ask. |

it needs to be digested to be absorbed...how much actually sticks in your teeth????
even then if you have a "leaky gut" or something you won't actually absorb all the cal's anyway
i wouldn;t be concerned with it anyway, no calorie counter is 100% correct anyway |

| OK, now I am being pedantic - but why do we call them calories? The numbers we are talking about are actually kcal aren't they? That's surely a thousand calories? |
