Two weeks ago I began an exercise programme and began eating better in order to help me lose weight and get a better body. It seems to be going well and I don't find it pushes me too much as I've lived quite an active life up until now.
The exercise programme involves alternating between cardio and weight training throughout the week.
My choice of cardio is running as I genuinely do enjoy it. I'll run on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays and this will involve:
*Running for half an hour at a pace of 6.8 km/h
*Then lowering the speed to about 4.8 km/h and hold this for three minutes
*After this I run at 6.0km/h for a minute, then raise this to 6.8km/h for a minute, then to 7.8km/h for another minute, then to 8.8km/h for another minute and go back down to 4.8km/h for 2 minutes. I repeat this step and then I'm done.
On Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays I do weight training. This doesn't involve intense weights as I'm not really looking to bulk up but would prefer attaining a more lean and toned physique. Also on these days I do my share of dog walking which will last between 20-25 mins.
Sundays I rest
In relation to my eating plan I just watch the calories dropping 800 from 2500 and don't eat anything like cakes, biscuits or chocolate instead I prefer to freeze grapes and eat those as a snack. I also drink plenty of water at least 8 pints a day.
So please if you have any advice or criticism about my routine I'd really love to hear it because I'd like to |

- running likw that won't get you fitter or thinner....the hard parts need ro be hard as they can be and the easy parts at no more than 60% and the better....also the same thing all the time is the worse thing you can do as you burn less cal's performing the same thing each time you do it
- simply doing wtys doesn't bulk you up....i've been doing them for yrs and i'm only 75kgs wet...do them hard or your wasteing your time
- protein everytime you eat...EVERYTIME
food - go to diet section and read "read before posting..."
cardio - go to fat loss section and there's a thread titled "fat loss training" which has cardio in it that actually burns fat...just make sure to rotate the machines around not doing the same one twice in a row
