How many calories?
Long story short. Used to be in relatively good shape/health. Over the last few years I quit working out while still eating horribly and gained a considerable amount of weight. I have been unemployed for the last 6 months and let myself get even worse. I am 45, 5'9'' and weigh 305lbs. I finally got ...

Got the straps. Thanks for the info. I am more aware of grip now. I was barley using pinkie and ring finger especially on right hand. I appreciate all the help.

Dips Chins Question
The routine I am doing has both dips and chinups in it. I know that these are better than other exercises for the same muscles because of the core and stabilizers. Right now I am at 308lbs and cannot do either one. The gym I go to does not have a machine that helps you with these so question is do I...

Re: Curls problem
The pain is in the muscle. The forearm just before elbow and the bicep just above elbow. It hurts when I try to extend arm after not moving for awhile. I know the non idiot thing would be to not do the exercise but I was hoping someone on the forum would perhaps have an answer. Thanks

Heart rate question
When I have finished lifting I do some elliptical. The machine says for weight/age heart rate for burning fat should be around 140. To maintain anywhere near 140 I am barely moving. How accurate are the minitors and should I follow them. If I do any type of HIIT the machine tells me to slow down. I ...

Curls problem
Any time I do an isolated exercise for biceps it causes a lot of pain when I straighten out arms for 3-5 days after doing it. I stretch well before and after because it seems I have always had this problem. Anything else I should be doing or should I just not do this exercise?

TBW and Cardio
Started doing the Huge in a Hurry by Chad Waterbury. I've let myself go so long that I've ballooned to 300#. Question is would it be ok to do cardio on the 3 days of workout and on the days in between or would this be too much. Not really looking to get " huge in a hurry" I'm 45 and don't ...

I've tried changing eating habits today. They were atrocious, eating out of a machine at work, no breakfast, and junk at night all night. Today I had a bowl of oatmeal with 7 almonds and scoop of protien powder and a multivitamin and glucosamine at 4:30am. 9:30 lowfat yogurt, noon a sandwich with ch...

Couple of questions
Not too familiar with terminolgy or abreviations. What is a basic TBT ot? I like the idea of losing the weight slowly to reduce excess skin. How do I figure out what amount of calories I should be taking in for weight? Thanks
