Re: Trying to eat unprocessed in a processed world
hey all, I'm still around, just not able to do much exercise right now. Having some lower back pain issues and also pulled a muscle on right side, very painful. this is favorite time of year for running and riding so hoping I can get back out there soon. Hope everyone is doing well and achieving all...

Re: Trying to eat unprocessed in a processed world
20 mile bike ride on this beautiful fall Texas morning!! Temp was around 68, sunny skies. Rode with a friend and the miles just flew by. :D Felt awesome. I really miss the profile and picture upload feature this site used to have. I don't do photo bucket or any other photo sharing site so having a p...

Re: Trying to eat unprocessed in a processed world
thank you Becky. :D I rode in the bike race this past Saturday. It was probably the hardest thing I've done. 25 miles of hill after hill. Had a tough time and walked with bike up a couple of the last tall hills - but I did it and it was great. Never underestimate yourself, and sometimes, m...

Re: Trying to eat unprocessed in a processed world
I created the avatar using a term I feel is an important reminder for life right now. It's based on a scripture "With God I can scale any wall." Just something personally meaningful to me. :) I used a hand-drawn tool to make the "it" to make it more personal and give it a human t...

Re: Trying to eat unprocessed in a processed world
Thanks guys! It was an awesome experience. Very empowering. Just being out there putting one foot in front of the other, and feeling the energy of fellow runners/walkers was so moving. This race was to raise awareness for children with Autism and other developmental delays. There were some children ...

Yes I did run the 5k yesterday! Ran/walked and finished in 42:30 which is a little over a 13:00 min mile. Not too bad! I actually finished 6th out of 21 women in age group!

Re: Feeling Oddly Insecure
but the minute a guy walks in, I feel self concious I think most women feel a bit self conscious at first when working out next to the guys - and the fact that you are working out next to guys that you actually work with daily and will be seeing in the next hour after the workout makes it a bit mor...

Re: Trying to eat unprocessed in a processed world
Workout completed! Ran/walked 2.5 miles, then rode road bike just under 11 miles. Felt good, strong. Loved doing the 2 sports together. But I have to say, heart is on the bike. It just feels like home when I clip in the pedals and take off down the road. I actually love the sound of the clips when t...

I am feeling pretty good Jocelyn. :D much better than last week. Planning on run/walking a couple miles in the morning, then riding road bike at least 10-15 miles. (I got new Pearl pink and black road bike gloves that match bike outfit perfectly and I can't wait to wear them! :funny: ) hey I always ...

Re: Trying to eat unprocessed in a processed world
Thank you Bossman. Your kind words of support always inspire me. :) Rode 6 miles on spin bike yesterday. Ran/walked 2 miles in 28:30 on treadmill today. Prolly shouldn't have done the running - ended up with an ocular migraine afterwards. It's only been 3 days sInce I had a treatment so I nee...

Re: Trying to eat unprocessed in a processed world
Thank you Joc and Becky! I am doing best to stay strong and fight with all I have. To be honest it was a tough blow when we had the setback. Was not expecting that and it really got me down. For about a week all I did was cry and stay in bed. It took the fight out of me and I literally felt like I c...
